Beschreibung

After getting introduced to the philosophical background, you are going to learn about the most relevant theories such as global workspace theory, integrated information theory, theory of orchestrated objective reduction, to name just a few.
You will also learn about the current state of research and the most important empirical methods used to investigate consciousness and take a detour to consciousness in non-human agents as well as altered states of consciousness.

At the end of the course, you are going to take a written final exam in order to get the 4 ECTS.
